A Fuel Surcharge will be imposed on rides if in the previous month the average cost per
gallon of regular, unleaded fuel, as reported by the Department of Energy*, exceeded
$1.99 per gallon. If a fuel surcharge is applicable, it will be applied at the rate of $2.00
on trips whose total value is $70.00 or less, and $4.00 on any trip greater than $70.00.
If in any month the average cost per gallon of regular, unleaded fuel should fall below $1.99,
then no surcharge will apply for trips taken in the following month. If no surcharge is applicable,
there will be a message printed on the bottom of your invoice. If a fuel surcharge applies,
the fuel surcharge amount will appear in the "misc" column on your invoice.

For Big Apple Car and Goldstar Tranportation the surcharge currently being imposed is $4.00 for
rides $70 or less and $6.00 for rides greater than $70.
For VIP Gold and Echelon, the surchange currently being imposed is 5% of the total value of the job.
